Sydney Smith was born in the South Shore of Nova Scotia, one of his favourite places in all of Canada. He is the illustrator of Town Is by the Sea, winner of the CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal, and has twice won the Governor General’s Literary Award – for Sidewalk Flowers and Small in the City, which he also wrote. He lives with his family in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Felicita Sala
Felicita is a self-taught illustrator. She studied philosophy and languages in Australia, but then decided she wanted to create pictures. Since moving to Italy, she has worked on a few stop-motion animation projects along with her husband, Gianluca, but her passion lies in making picture books. Marie-Ève Tremblay
Marie-Ève Tremblay is a travel junkie who finds inspiration in her trips abroad, be it from nature or situations in everyday life. Her take on the world is full of affection and humor, and her images are set apart by their warm tones, curious candor and gentle whimsy. She has illustrated numerous children’s books, as well as for magazines, TV series and much more. Marie-Éve is represented by Colagene, Creative Clinic.
Phil McAndrew
Phil McAndrew is a cartoonist, illustrator and writer. He’s made books for both children and adults and regularly contributes comics and humor to magazine. His drawings have appeared in MAD magazines, newspapers, comic books and board games, and on album covers and T-shirts. Phil has written and drawn things for television, as well as written articles and given talks about drawing and creativity. He’s also played drums in several bands and even directed a music video.
