Katy Dockrill is an award-winning Toronto illustrator with a passion for line. An honors graduate from the Ontario College of Art and Design, she brings the simplest drawings to life with her fresh, cheerful and playfully detailed brush-and-ink work, a style her international and local clients expect and love.#When not sketching, you may find her reading, swimming, biking or gardening. Mark Hoffmann

Mark Hoffmann is an award-winning illustrator, painter, author and professor. Mark was raised in Minnesota, earned a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.#Mark found his love of children’s literature ignited after having his son. He worked primarily in the editorial illustration market, but switched gears into the picture book realm and has enjoyed the change of pace. Mark leans heavily on his design and color-work background in his illustrations, but also enjoys trying to add a bit of wit or charm. In each book he works on, Mark, likes to create a new style or approach that gives each publication its own voice. The work can range from realism to cartoon depending on the text. The work is mostly created traditionally with acrylic and gouache paints, though he occasionally uses pastels, colored pencils and digital mediums.#When not creating or teaching, Mark spends what little free time he has left looking for old junk and wood boxes at antique fairs. Chris Sasaki

Chris Sasaki is an animation art director and illustrator living in Oakland, California. He’s worked at Pixar Animation Studios and designed characters for Monsters University, Inside Out, Coco and Onward. He also served as a production designer on the Oscar-nominated shorts Sanjay’s Super Team and Weekends. In 2016, Chris made his first venture into illustrated books with a short story collection for young adults entitled Ghost.

Sig Burwash

Sig Burwash is a visual artist working in a variety of media including watercolor, collage, ceramics, animation, illustration and comics. Her work is both imaginative and rooted in her lived experiences, including cabin building, forest stewarding, motorcycling and crewing on a fishing vessel. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States and Europe. Originally from kEluwi’sst (Rossland), British Columbia, she now lives and works in Unama’ki (Cape Breton Island), Nova Scotia.

Byron Eggenschwiler

Byron Eggenschwiler is an illustrator whose work has appeared on book covers, posters and in publications including the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, GQ, the National Post and O, The Oprah Magazine. His work has received awards including those from Communication Arts, American Illustration and the National Magazine Awards.#Byron often takes inspiration from folktales and children’s books for his work, but Beastly Puzzles is his first real adventure into the world of children’s books. This year he completed his first young adult graphic novel, which is coming out soon as well.
