About the Series The Machines of the Future series explores the world’s latest vehicular technology, including trains, spacecraft and hybrid cars. With strong science curriculum links and an emphasis on hands-on learning, understanding complex technology has never been more appealing.

About the Author Peter McMahon has written for CTV, the Toronto Star, YES Mag and other media outlets. While senior online producer for Discovery Channel, he reported from shuttle launches, dinosaur digs and even a 2 km-deep mineshaft. Peter lives in Port Hope, Canada.

About the Illustrator Illustrator Andy Mora specializes in technical and scientific illustration but also works in graphic design and architectural and medical illustration.
He lives north of Toronto and teaches elementary and high school art part-time.
